Snowman Candy Apple / Chocolate Sour Keys

Over the Christmas holidays we were all caked out. Therefore we decided to give our close work friends snowman candy apples and sour keys covered in chocolate as a treat with their Christmas cards. A special thanks goes out to Kathryn and Kim for lending a helping hand. As easy as these look to make, it is ever so challenging to get the white chocolate coating smooth. Candy apples are a great addition for give aways at weddings, birthday parities or any event you are hosting.

Princess + Castle - First Birthday Cake

This princess cake was made for Nikita's first birthday. The idea was a castle at the top of a hill, lined with a red carpet. Everything on this cake was completely edible. The castle was made of rice crispies and the princess was hand made of gum paste. The picture doesn't do this cake justice. You needed to see it in person. HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY NIKITA.

Rhys's Soccer Cake

A repeat customer of ours, Michelle, ordered another soccer cake for her son's Rhys's birthday. Michelle was one of our first customer's and has been an avid fan of ours since we started "caking". She has referred us to many of her friends, in which we truly appreciate. Both her son's love soccer. It is their lives. We had to come up with another creative way to make a soccer cake, so this is what we came up with. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RHYS

Aidan's Angry Birds Cake

CupOCake is still here and strongly making cakes. Please expect a lot of posts as we have not posted on our blog since Halloween! There are lots of orders we still have to blog about. Don't worry we have not forgotten to post pictures of your special cake.

This cake was created for Aidan's Birthday party. If you know Aidan, you know his favorite thing at the time of his birthday, was angry birds. With complete input from Aidan we decided to make him a destroyable Angry Birds Cake, complete with a sling shot. Aidan would not allow anyone to touch his cake. He guarded the cake from the moment we dropped it off until the last piece was eaten. HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIDAN.

Customer Comment

Thanks again for Aidan’s cake-it was a hit!!! He can’t stop talking about it. It was the first interactive cake I have seen!
You girls did an amazing job!!!

Halloween Party Cake

Halloween is a spooky time of year. This year Mary and I decided to throw a halloween party. Of course, when deciding to do so, the first thing that came to mind when planning that party was what type of cake should we make. Since it was to be the centre of attention on our sweet table, we agreed on a 5 tier slanted cake, made to look like a hill, leading up to a haunted house. Our Halloween party was a great success. The party had everything a great party needed, including a surprise visit from the police. This is our Halloween 2011, who knows what Halloween 2012 will bring. Stay tuned.

Super Gory Halloween Cupcakes

These cupcakes were ordered for a Gory Halloween Party. Last year we made gory cupcakes for this party, and this year we were even more determined to turn the gory factor up a notch. These cupcakes were so gory that they were even hard to look at. Severed feet and fingers, as well as knifes and glass (sugar) shards were all completely edible. Each one touched with a bit of red food colouring to look like blood. Thanks again for choosing CupOCake for you Halloween party cupcakes. We  hope you enjoyed them and look forward to hearing from you again next year.

God Bless Clarissa Jane

One of our regular customers, Char ordered this cake for her daughter Clarissa's christening. Previously Char has ordered birthday cakes from us. Therefore being asked to do her daughters christening cake was a honor. We appreciate and value all new customers, all referrals and all repeat customers. To work from Char sent us two different cake photos. Mary was able to piece it together to come up with this lovely work of art. Char also sent us a photo of a baby on its belly. Mary was able to create a completely edible replica, of course tweaked to be more customer specific. At the end of the day we hope that Char, our customer, loved this cake. We look forward to working with you in the future and God Bless Clarissa Jane.

Phineas and Ferb - Happy Birthday Tyrell

This cake was made especially for Tyrell's birthday. Tyrell is a big fan of the Phineas and Ferb TV show. For those who do not know Phineas and Ferb spend a lot of their time in their back yard, under a tree. Therefore a cake depicting this scenario seemed fitting. Tyrell's parents are repeat customers of ours. Recently we made a Pokemon cake for them. We really appreciate your support! Happy Birthday Tyrell.
