Baby Dedication Cake - Adrian's

 

A new addition to any family is a time for celebration. It's also a time for cake! This dedication cake was made for Adrian. And when Alaine, requested that we make this cake for his son, we thoughtfully designed it for the baby boy who even though could not walk or talk yet, is bound to be one bundle of energy! His cake is classic, clean and not to mention, adorable! We tried to incorporate animals from noah's ark, hence the elephant, giraffe, and the sheep (not shown here as it was sitting as a table accessory beside the cake). 

In making this cake we learned how to cover a round cake with fondant perfectly (something that we were previously struggling with). So speaking for the future cakes that we will make, we will never have this problem again! We remain victorious! Wooh-hooh!

But we also learned that finding 1175 Service Road East in Oakville is not an easy task. Nonetheless the cake made it to Adrian's baby dedication in one piece and was admired by many. Helpful hint: GPS in your car is your friend and your enemy!
