Hope these cupcakes aren’t too gruesome and gory for you! We made 24 Gory cupcakes for a child’s Halloween party using chocolate, icing and fondant toppers. They are chocolate cupcakes with vanilla icing dyed black. There are 4 different toppers including the severed finger, the missing eyeball, the bleeding brain and the tombstone with the awakening mummy. The finger, eyeball, and brain are made of colored candied chocolate and the tombstone is made of milk chocolate all using a chocolate mold. We finished off the missing body parts with bloody looking icing and the tombstone with some grass icing as well as the fondant mummy hand. We wanted them to be as scary and gory as we could get them and we think we did ourselves proud.
